PERSONAL/PROFESSIONAL

Biography, Missions, and Connections
The future rewards those who press on. I don’t have time to feel sorry for myself. I don’t have time to complain. I’m going to press on.

About Faith - She/They/He

Hello! My name is Faith Hill, yes, like the famous country singer. I'm 21 years old and currently studying Communication Studies with a focus in Media Studies through Western Washington University.

I've lived in Washington State my entire life, and I can't think of a better place to call home. I have had so many opportunities here that would have been near impossible elsewhere, and you can't beat the views up here either!

I am passionate and driven in all areas of my life, and I pride myself on my adaptability in confusing and changing situations.

Outside of my studies, I am a freelance/hobbyist artist (physical and digital). It's a nice escape from writing essays to be able to let my creativtiy flow and de-stress. I also play the guitar in my free time, although I'm a bit rusty due to my college workload and need to hone my skills again.

My goal in life is to become a professional dog trainer, as working with dogs has become one of my biggest passions. It's communication on a whole other level, as not only is there a language barrier, but also a species barrier. Overcoming these and truly connecting with a dog to understand their mindset and behaviors is such a rewarding process that I would not trade for the world.

Personal Mission Statement

My personal mission is to never waver with my confidence in myself and my passion for the world and life around me. Hardships are guaranteed to happen, but I strive to not just persevere, but hold onto my skills and beliefs, and never lose sight of my core values. I will also continue to offer kindness to others above all else, not in return for a reward but to lead my life treating others the way I would want to be treated. I pride myself on being someone who is reliable and safe, and through my confidence and applying kindness I hope to continue to be a solid support for those around me. With these goals I will work to bolster my strength against hardships and work together with others to create a better, kinder world.

Professional Mission Statement

My professional mission is to always keep growing and expanding into the best possible version of myself. I will not remain stagnant in my skills and mindset, opting to challenge and push outside of my comfort zone. Employing a combination of my relationship building and analytical thinking skills will allow me to be both a better team-player and leader to others by understanding all sides of a situation. I will be open to criticism without defensiveness, accepting opinions though they may differ from my own. Taking all this into consideration, I will lead by example to understand the weaknesses and strengths of all parties involved, to work toward the best possible solution(s) for both the company and the employee. I will apply this mindset both inside and outside of the workplace.

Commitments / Goals

- I want to focus and hone my abilities to set clear and concise boundaries with people.

- I want to learn how to best utilize the channels of communication at my disposal (face-to-face, online, etc.) in a variety of professional situations.

- I want to work on ways to manage my ADHD while I wait to get assessed.
